Lynda made the transition from skate blades and stick checks to 5 inch heels and 1/4 turns in the fall of 2008. "It was the most amazing journey to change her focus to herself, and to do something where ultimately your biggest competition is your own mind. The process gave her the confidence she needed to make a living out of her passion, the confidence she had been searching for to reach for the best in her life." Lynda's first competition was the INBF Classic in April 2009 where she placed 4th in figure tall, and took the best bikini body overall! "She was so grateful for the experience she had competing with INBF Canada for her first competition. It was important to her to be involved with a federation that promotes natural athletes, as the experience and support she received was unforgettable. She met some fabulous genuine people, heard some inspiring stories, and found the team work back stage to be better than any hockey team she had ever played for! She attests that there is so much to be said for INBF Canada and how hard they work to ensure their athletes reach their potential! She is honoured to be a part of this federation and this sport."
